Fun easy flows are all the fun when you are starting out. Here is a fun series of aerial sling moves I learned today.
Front mount: With both hand on either side of the pole, kick your legs up and through so that the sling meets your hips.
Bird/Front Balance: Take both hands behind you in a reverse grip and slowly bring your chest up.
Peter Pan: Reach up high with your left hand and bring the right hand to meet the left. The left leg comes through and leads anti-clockwise. Once the body opens you will need to release the right hand.
Seat: Fan kick the left leg through the opening between the two poles to come back into the sling and meets the right leg.
Crucifix: With both hands on either pole lower your body until the sling meets your armpits and shoulder blades on your back.
Straddle: Push against the poles and lift your hips up high until you are in a straddle position.
Flatline: Crochet the right leg. Bring the left leg over and use it to block the top of the silk. Grab the left poles and pull your body up keeping the hips high. Take an elongated extension or backbend while you are in this position.
Star: Keep pressure with the left foot and remove the right bringing it towards the floor. You have the option to take a bind here as I have in the video.
Sexy Seat: Bring your body up and bend the knee that is connected to the silk. Bring your other leg on top and ensure that the silk is behind your shoulder blade.
Coffin: From sexy seat simply grab the pole that is resting on your shoulder and neck with two hands and thrust your body out in a straight line.
I hope you enjoyed these beginner aerial sling moves.
